Update – Aviva European Property Fund suspension is now lifted

The Aviva European Property Fund suspension has been lifted with effect from 16 December 2009.

An e-mail with further details was sent to your financial adviser and letters will be sent to you if you are invested into this fund.

If you are invested in the affected Royal Skandia Aviva European Property fund through Royal Skandia Life Assurance Limited and have any concerns, please contact either your financial adviser or Royal Skandia on +44 (0) 1624 655 012, but note that Royal Skandia is not able to give you investment advice.

Recent fund suspensions

Some funds are currently suspended and these are also shown below.

As a result, certain restrictions will apply until the suspension is lifted:

• During the suspension period you will not be able to withdraw your investment in the affected funds or make new contributions.
  
• If you are currently making regular contributions into the funds, these will be redirected to the Royal Skandia Deposit Fund for the duration of the suspension period.
  
• You will also not be able to switch into or out of the fund until the suspension is lifted.
  
• Depending on the type of policy you hold with us, the annual review statements, annual benefit statements, online valuations or projected personal illustrations produced during the suspension period will either NOT include the value of the suspended funds, or include them at an INDICATIVE PRICE.

All above services will revert to normal once the suspension period is over.
