About registering for the Old Mutual International Client Centre

The Old Mutual International Client Centre is a secure web site to access your policies. The site enables you to check your current investment values.

As the Client Centre shows your confidential policy details, you need to set up a secure username and password, provide security details and some personal information. The personal information speeds up the registration process.

Steps to registering

Username

Keep your policy details confidential. Use a username so only you have access to the Client Centre. The username must be a minimum of 6 characters. It should be memorable to you but not too obvious, for example it should not simply be your name. All usernames must be unique. You may find that your first choice is unavailable, in which case you will be prompted to choose another one. If you are already registered and can’t remember your username, please call the E-Commerce Helpdesk on + 44 (0)1624 655556. The E-Commerce Helpdesk is open from 08:00 - 17:00, UK time, Monday - Friday. Alternatively, contact your local office:
  • Hong Kong on + 852 3552 5860, available 09:00 - 17:30 HKT Monday to Friday.
  • Singapore on + 65 6622 5406, available 09:00 - 17:30 SGT Monday to Friday.
  • Dubai on + 971 4 2996656, available 09:00 - 17:30 GMT+3 Sunday to Thursday.

    Password

This must be a minimum of 6 characters containing at least 1 number and 1 lower case letter. Your password will be case sensitive. It cannot be the same as your username. You need to confirm the password by typing it in the repeat password box. You will be advised to change your password every 365 days. Once you have updated your password, you will not be able to update it again for the following 3 days. General guidelines on good password policy:

    • Keep your password confidential.
    • Avoid keeping a paper record of your password, unless this can be stored securely.
    • Change your password whenever there is an indication of possible system or password compromise.
    • Make the password easy to remember.
    • Do not base it on anything somebody else could easily guess or obtain from personal information about you, such as the name of your spouse, the names of your children, pets, telephone numbers or dates of birth etc. Avoid choosing words like ‘Old Mutual’ or ‘International’ or the name or number of your policy.
    • The password must have a minimum of one lower case letter.
    • The password should not contain consecutive repeated characters. We recommend it should be a mix of letters and numbers.
    • You cannot reuse your last 6 passwords.
    • Do not store passwords in a macro or any other such mechanism for automating the log-on process.

    Security questions

As an additional security measure you need to enter answers to five security questions as part of your registration. Your answers will help identify you if you contact us about the Client Centre or if you need to reset your password.

    Policy Details

Please enter all your policy numbers. The policy number is made up of a 3 character prefix and a reference number which could be up to 9 digits. You will be able to find the policy number on any correspondence you have received from us, for example CRB 01023450-3. Enter each policy one at a time. To enter a policy, select the policy prefix from the drop down box then enter the policy number. Select 'Add' to display the policy details in the table on the page. If you want to remove a policy, select the Delete button [X] against the policy in the table.

    Personal Details

This personal information will help speed up the registration process.

    • If you are completing the online registration form in Chinese, it would be very helpful if you can enter the personal details section in English to make it easier and faster for us to match your personal details and set up your online access.
    • If you have a care of 'c/o' address with your adviser or other power of attorney, you will need to arrange to have your address changed to your residential address before registering in order to speed up the registration process.

    Confirmation of Access

We will send you confirmation and an access code in the post. You will need the access code to log on for the first time. It appears as an additional field after you enter your username and password and log on for the first time. Thereafter you will just need your username and password.
